Endocrinologist

Dr Matthew Seymour is an Endocrinologist and General Physician. He trained in a number of local Southeast Queensland hospitals including the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital and the Mater Hospital and is currently a staff specialist at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.

Dr Seymour obtained his medical degree from The University of Queensland in 2006. Before studying medicine, he completed a Bachelor of Pharmacyand was awarded a university medal from The University of Queensland. He was also awarded first-class honours for his research in the field of molecular biology.

Dr Seymour is a member of the Endocrine Society of Australia. He has a passion for education and is always up to date with the latest research.

Dr Seymour’s special interests include:

  • Thyroid disorders
  • Calcium disorders
  • Osteoporosis
  • Hypogonadism

Matthew is well known for his compassionate nature and patient-focused care. Matthew knows that no two patients are the same and develops personalised treatment plans to suit their needs.

Outside of medicine, Matthew enjoys spending time with his young family and exploring the outdoors.
